Input EMI & Safety Standard Approved Capacitors

EPCOS / TDK Input EMI & Safety Standard Approved Capacitors are available in Metallized Film and Ceramic and are used mainly in industrial, consumer and lighting applications such as for RFI suppression and ESD prevention. The special features of these UL and ENEC certified components are self-extinction and overvoltage security, which is ensured by a special resin filling as well as an "open circuit" failure mode to avoid dangerous shorts. The available categories are X and Y and their subclasses.

X2 EMI Suppression Film Capacitors (MKP)

TDK X2 EMI Suppression Film Capacitors (MKP) offer high current, high humidity, standard, heavy-duty, high temperature, and compact variants. These radial safety capacitors provide capacitances in the 0.01µF to 8.2µF range with 10% and 20% tolerance options. The components include polypropylene (PP) or metallized polyester dielectrics and straight or crimped leads. The X2 safety rating ensures user safety in the event of short or failure.

MKP Industrial-Grade X2 350VAC Capacitors

EPCOS / TDK Metallized Polypropylene (MKP) Industrial-Grade X2 350VAC Capacitors offer a higher rated voltage than conventional X2 305VAC capacitors. The increased rated voltage of 350VAC makes these capacitors ideal for applications such as X2 class for interference suppression, severe ambient conditions, across the line, and E-meters, in-series with mains. EPCOS / TDK MKP Industrial-Grade X2 350VAC Capacitors feature internal series construction, good self-healing properties, high current handling, AEC-Q200D compliance, and RoHS compatibility. The series has a 110°C maximum operating temperature and provides stable capacitance in severe ambient conditions (85°C, 85% RH, 330VAC, 1000h).
