Electromagnetic Interference Suppression Capacitor

KEMET's Electromagnetic Interference Suppression Capacitors meet EN/IEC 60384-17:2005 standards and are subdivided into two groups, X and Y. X Capacitors are for use in positions where a failure of the capacitor would not expose anybody to the danger of electric shock. Y Capacitors are for use in positions where a failure of the capacitor could expose somebody to a dangerous electric shock.

Group Power Conversion Components

YAGEO Group (YAGEO, Pulse, KEMET) designs passive component technologies that are critical in power conversion systems, including safety, snubber, and DC link capacitors; current sense and power resistors; and magnetic components such as transformers, common mode chokes, and inductors. The PHE850 Series Suppression Film Capacitors from KEMET include new small dimensions that include low-profile capacitors. KEMET PHE850 Series Suppression Film Capacitors are intended for use as interference suppressors in Y2 (line-to-earth) applications.
