USB 3.1 Type C Circuit Protection

Littelfuse USB 3.1 Type C Circuit Protection delivers overcurrent and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection while maintaining USB 3.1 Type C data integrity. The host and all self-powered hubs must implement overcurrent protection for safety purposes and the hub must have a way to detect the overcurrent condition and report it to the USB software. Polymeric PTCs from Littelfuse provide an ideal solution for overcurrent protection. Promoting high signal integrity on the data lines of USB 3.1 Type C interfaces offers benchmark-settling, silicon-based, low-capacitance ESD protection while providing effective ESD protection on the VBUS, USB 2.0, and control lines of the interface.

Indoor LED Lighting Circuit Protection

Littelfuse Indoor LED Lighting Circuit Protection ensures a long operating life, increased energy efficiency, and safety. LEDs can be damaged by voltage or current surges, and by extreme temperatures. Littelfuse circuit protection technology protects LED assemblies from potential damage. PolySwitch Surface Mount Resettable PTCs

Littelfuse PolySwitch Surface-Mount (SMD) Resettable PTCs provide overcurrent protection for applications where space is at a premium, and resettable protection is desired. Package size varies from 0402 to 3425, while the current hold ranges from 50mA to 7.0A. PolySwitch Resettable Devices

Littelfuse PolySwitch and POLY-FUSE Devices are Polymeric Positive Temperature Coefficient (PPTC) devices that offer a resettable overcurrent protection alternative, reducing warranty, service, and repair costs. PTCs increase resistance as temperature increases due to increased flow. The components are designed to limit unsafe currents while allowing constant safe current levels, resistance will "reset" automatically when the fault is removed, and temperature returns to safe levels. The ability of the PTCs to reset themselves after exposure to a fault current makes them ideal within circuits that are not easily accessible. PTCs are typically used as circuit protection in applications where sensitive components are at constant risk of damage from overcurrent conditions. The components are also ideal for situations where frequent overcurrent conditions occur or constant uptime is required. Littelfuse Resettable PTCs (PPTCs) are typically used in consumer electronics, power line, telecom, I/O port, process control and medical equipment protection applications.

2920L PolySwitch® Resettable Fuses

Littelfuse 2920L PolySwitch® Resettable Fuses provide overcurrent protection for medium-voltage applications that require resettable protection. These polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) devices feature high voltage, a low profile, and a fast response to fault currents. The 2920L resettable fuses operate at -40°C to +85°C temperature range. Typical applications include IEEE 1394 port protection, powered ethernet port protection (IEEE 802.3 af), automotive electronic control module protection and low-voltage telecom equipment protection.
