Although simpler in nature compared to DC chargers, AC charging stations safely deliver AC power from the electrical grid into the vehicle. UltraMOV varistors are ideal for applications requiring high peak surge current ratings and high energy absorption capability. These varistors are intended for products that require voltage clamping of high transient surge currents from sources such as lightning, inductive load switching, or capacitor bank switching.
