HFDA801A Class-D Audio Amplifiers

STMicroelectronics HFDA801A Class-D Audio Amplifiers, based on BCD (Bipolar CMOS DMOS) technology, are optimized for compact, cost-effective automotive applications. The HFDA801A components integrate a 24-bit, 120dB DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter), and feature a 2MHz switching PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation) output stage. This configuration enables the design of a compact and inexpensive application, reaching at the same time an outstanding level of audio performance. The HFDA801A amplifiers support wide-band applications (80kHz), with an extremely low level of noise and low THD (Total Harmonic Distortion). With a signal-to-noise ratio of 121dB, 120dB dynamic range, and only 10μV output noise, the HFDA801A components deliver a high level of audio performance from an inexpensive small form-factor component.
