SML-D12 EXCELED Automotive LEDs

ROHM Semiconductor SML-D12 EXCELED™ Automotive LED series includes AEC-Q101 qualified, standard SMD LEDs in a mini-mold 1608 package. Based on the original device technology, the SML-D12 LEDs ensure high brightness and reliability across the 560nm-630nm wavelength. The SML-811 LEDs have an AIGaInP chip structure and a tinted, diffused lens. Available in yellow, green, yellow-green, and red versions, the SML-D12 LEDs are rated at 7.1mcd, 6.3mcd, 25mcd, and 40mcd (respectively) for luminous intensity. The SML-D12 EXCELED Automotive LEDs operate with a typical 20mA forward current, 2.2V forward voltage, and 54mW power dissipation in the -40 to 85°C temperature range.

SMLD12x LEDs

ROHM Semiconductor SMLD12x LEDs are available in colors ranging from red, blue, green, blue-green, and white. ROHM SMLD12x LEDs feature a long-life mini-mold chip LED with a 100% residual luminous rate even after 1000 hours. Epoxy resins with high mold hardness are commonly adopted for compact molded type LEDs. For LEDs with a short wavelength (λD<527nm), such as white, the resin may turn yellow due to the energy of the light. The SMLD12x LEDs utilize a material for the sealing resin that maintains 100% luminosity during operational testing (25ºC, 20mA IF, 1000 hours).

Automotive LEDs

ROHM Semiconductor Automotive LED product family features AEC-Q101-qualified SMD LEDs. These LEDs are available in various colors, brightness types, and packages. The automotive LEDs offer exceptional lighting performance at -40 to 100°C. Excellent luminous intensity is ensured with low forward voltages around or slightly under 2V. With packages including PLCC-2, 0805, 1305, and 1608, these LEDs are well-suited to meet interior and exterior automotive application requirements.

Automotive Lighting Solutions

ROHM Semiconductor Automotive Lighting Solutions combine LED driver ICs required for LED lighting control along with compact high-reliability LEDs. These automotive lighting solutions address the need to support the advancement of sensing and safety functions required for autonomous driving technology. This simplifies thermal design to AEC-Q101 qualified surface mount chip LEDs that deliver high brightness along with improved reliability in a compact form factor.
